Willows in the Wind is the twelfth episode of the twelfth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. This episode is the last to feature Catherine Willows

Synposis

Catherine goes into hiding with D.B. after Mark Gabriel's hitmen try to kill her, but they soon come to the realization that Gabriel himself may not be calling the shots.

At the end of the episode,an "extended family meeting" is hosted,during which Catherine says her farewells to everyone in the Lab. Having worked there for nineteen years,which is later described "gone too fast" by Catherine, she decides to take the new job offered by the FBI and leave the Lab.

Afterwards, Catherine and CSI Morgan Brody had a meal at a restaurant, which is exactly the one that Catherine talked about the CSI job to the new girl Holly Gribbs 12 years ago.
