Lily Flynn is the mother of CSI Catherine Willows and the grandmother of Lindsey Willows in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Background

Lily, back in the 60's, worked as a showgirl and had a relationship with Sam Braun which resulted in a daugther called Catherine. This relationship did not worked, so she raised Catherine as a single mother. Also, just due to her nature, Lily and her child, Catherine, were constantly moved around the west coast of America.

Seasons

In Weeping Willows, her first appearance, Lily criticizes and confront Catherine for not spending a lot time with her daugther. So, Lily decides to take care of Lindsey at Catherine's house while she is working in a case. Adam Novak, a lawyer who became obsessed with Catherine, late in the night, spoke with her and Lindsey outside of the house to scare Catherine and tell her that she was set him up.

In Kiss-Kiss, Bye-Bye, when the case holds a connection with Catherine´s father, it's revealed that Lily was a back-up dancer for Lois O'Neill.

In The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp, she and Catherine were looking over the new casino that Sam was building, shortly before he died, when a dead body is found in the field. Lily spoke to Greg about a Native American reporter named Lee George who was digging around and Sam's bodyguard, Benny Dunbar, would have been the person who shot him and dumped his body down the construction shaft.

Finally, in Ms. Willows Regrets, she shows up at the Crime Lab to give Catherine a birthday card that she received in the mail, but it was mistakenly delivered.
