Elisabeth Judson Shue is an American actress.Shue was born on October 6, 1963 and is known for her movie roles in The Karate Kid (1984), Adventures in Babysitting (1987), Cocktail (1988), Back to the Future Part II (1989), Back to the Future Part III (1990), Leaving Las Vegas (1995), The Saint (1997) and Hollow Man in 2000. Shue has won 5 acting awards and was nominated for an Academy Award, Golden Globes and a BAFTA.
In February 2012, Shue began to portray as Julie Finlay in CBS police drama CSI until she left the series on February 2015.
Early Life:[]
Shue was born in Wilmington, Delaware. Shue's mother Anne Brewster was the VP of a private banking division of a Chemical Banking Corporation while her father James William Shue who worked as a lawyer and a real estate developer and was also a president of the International Food and Beverage Coporation. Shue grew up in Bergen and Essex counties in New Jersey. Shue's parents divorced when she was only nine years old. Shue also has a younger brother Andrew who also worked as an actor known for his role as Billy Campbell in Fox's Melrose Place. Shue graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood New Jersey, where she and her brother inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 1994.
Shue also attended Wellesley College and during her junior year she was inspired by a friend to work in television commercials as a way to pay for college. Shue tranferred to Harvard University in 1985 from she withdrew to pursue an acting career with one semester short of earning her degree. The same year she left Harvard, in 1988 her brother William sadly died from a swimming accident while on a family vacation. Shue returned to Harvard in 1997 and has completed her BA in Political Science in 2000.

Shue is known by her friends and family as "Lisa", Shue married to movie director David Guggenheim. Their son Miles was born on November 11, 1997 , Mile's middle name is "William" to honour Shue's oldest brother William who sadly passed away age 26 in a swimming accident. In March 19, 2001 Shue gave birth to her first daughter Stella Street and her third child Agnes Charles in June 18, 2006.
