Clyde Tremmel was a criminal killed during a robber.
Tremmel was born and raised in California. In his adult years, he became partners in crime with Jack Delver. They both served five year sentences in Lompoc, California. Their other accomplice Raul Valdez also served time in Lompoc.
On February 12, 2004, Tremmel and Delver decided to rob the Best Bargain store. Delver handled the cashier while Tremmel herded the other customers to the back of the store. While the cocktail waitress After Delver killed Officer Clay with a shotgun, Tremmel fired at Officer David Fromansky with a TEC-DC9 semi-automatic handgun. Fromansky returned fire, hitting Tremmel with two shots to the chest. Delver was also killed, who had mortally wounded Rufus Sanders from Dead Man's Trigger Finger. Julia Reed was the final victim, an accidental victim of Fromansky. Their other accomplices Todd Hallickey, Raul Valdez and Celeste Turner, escaped the scene but were all arrested.
